Payment & Financial FAQs

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept secure methods including T/T, L/C, and Alibaba Trade Assurance. For samples, we can accommodate Western Union or PayPal. All payments are processed through corporate bank accounts to ensure transparency.

Our financial department provides clear wiring instructions in our Proforma Invoice. We operate with major international banks (like HSBC or Bank of China) to facilitate fast and secure cross-border transactions. We never ask for payments to personal accounts; always verify account details through official channels.

Do you accept L/C (Letter of Credit)?

Yes, we accept 100% Irrevocable L/C at sight from reputable banks. We handle complex L/C docs for smooth negotiation. For long-term partners, we may consider Usance L/C (30/60/90 days) subject to credit insurance approval.

L/C at sight is one of the safest ways to trade internationally. Our documentation team is expert at meeting all L/C requirements (discrepancy-free) to ensure your bank releases payment only when all shipping and quality documents are in order. We recommend sending a draft L/C for our review before formal issuance.

What are your payment terms?

Our standard term is 30% T/T deposit to initiate production, with 70% balance payable against the copy of the Bill of Lading (B/L). This is the industry standard for international steel trade. Terms can be negotiated for established clients.

This "30/70" structure provides the factory with the liquidity needed to purchase raw materials while giving the buyer the security of only paying the balance once the goods are proven to be on the vessel. Once the balance is received, we release the original documents or perform a Telex Release.

How does Trade Assurance work?

Alibaba Trade Assurance protects orders from payment to delivery. It holds your money in escrow until you confirm products meet quality and shipping timelines. It is highly recommended for new B2B buyers seeking maximum security.

Trade Assurance provides an extra layer of dispute resolution. If there is a delay or quality issue, Alibaba's arbitration team can intervene. As a Gold Supplier with a high trust rating, we have a large Trade Assurance limit, allowing us to handle substantial orders through this platform.

Is there a deposit required?

Yes, a 30% deposit is required to secure raw material prices and schedule production. Steel prices fluctuate daily; the deposit locks in your quoted price and serves as a mutual commitment to the contract.

Because steel is a commodity with volatile pricing, we can only hold a quote for a limited time (usually 3-7 days). The deposit serves as the final confirmation that allows us to purchase the raw material immediately, protecting you from potential price hikes during the production cycle.
