Hot plate, commonly known as a hot plate, refers to a width greater than or equal to 600mm, and the thickness of 0.35-200mm steel strip having a thickness of 1.2-25mm.
Advantages:
Ingot casting can destroy tissue, grain refinement of steel, and the elimination
of the defect microstructure, so that the steel dense tissue mechanical
properties are improved. This improvement is reflected in the rolling direction,
so that the steel to some extent, no longer isotropic; bubbles formed during
casting, cracks, and loose, can also be welded together at high temperature
and pressure.
Disadvantages:
1. After the hot rolling, the steel inside the non-metallic inclusions (mainly sulfides and oxides, and silicates) were pressed into sheets, delamination (interlayer) phenomenon. Layered in the thickness direction of the steel in tension performance is greatly deteriorated, and there may be an interlayer tear weld shrinkage. Weld shrinkage-induced local strain reaches the yield point strain often several times larger than the load-induced strain;
2. residual stresses caused by uneven cooling. Residual stresses in the absence
of external forces internal self-equilibrium stress, hot rolled steel has a variety of
cross-section of such residual stresses, the greater cross-sectional dimension is generally steel, the residual stress is greater. Although
the residual stress is self-balanced, but still has some influence on the performance
of the steel members under loads. As to the aspect of the deformation, stability,
fatigue resistance may adversely effect.
